To our wonderful supporters,
2020 has been a year of uncertainty and unexpected changes for all of us. Due to the unprecedented circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our annual Walk/Run for Love Event until 2021. Although we are disappointed, we are confident that this decision has been made in the best interest of our supporters.
Your safety is our priority – this year, Alina’s Light went digital on October 4th with a night of live entertainment, raffles, and virtual fun at the Alina’s Light: Volume Up! Virtual Concert.
The event was broadcast live through Zoom, a video-communications platform. Our show featured well-known local bands and performers including Global Groove Alliance, Joseph Robert Fedore, and the Funky Fly Project. In addition to the show, a 50/50 and raffle was held for various items including an autographed copy of Elly Sheykhet’s book, One Year After. Other prizes included a signed Dan Marino helmet, customized guitar, gift baskets, and more! Alina’s Light was ecstatic for the opportunity to host this unique event and it was a huge success!

Amongst the chaos, the pandemic has reminded us and our communities that it is crucial to be neighborly and kind. The importance of our mission has been reiterated during these uncertain times; we need your support now more than ever. Stay safe and healthy – we hope to see you soon! (And be sure to get your walking shoes ready for 2021.)
