Mother's Journey to Healing

“Grieving the loss of a child is one of the most painful experiences any parent can endure. When Alina was taken away from us, my world was shattered. The depth of grief I experienced was unimaginable, but through the darkness, I discovered a path toward healing. I have transformed my pain into a passion for helping other grieving mothers find hope and healing.”

What We Do

Monthly Meetings

As part of every meeting, we talk a lot about our feelings and how we handle different triggers and challenging life events.

Also, we learn how to plug into a higher state of consciousness and look at all painful life situations through a divine lens trying to find a deeper meaning that helps to ease a human being pain.

Annual Grief Retreats

The goal of this retreat is to allow the moms truly relax. Rest and relaxation are the key to healing.

Our goal is to get to the bottom of our pain, befriend it, and transform it. Sadness into love. Fear into Courage. Anger into Purpose. Guilt into Grace. Anxiety into Peace. Depression into Hope.

Events and Holiday Gatherings

Our Events and Holiday Gatherings provide Angel Moms with a safe, supportive space to connect, share their grief journey, and honor their children.

Through meaningful activities, moments of remembrance, and a sense of community, these gatherings foster healing, hope, and the strength to navigate the emotional challenges of loss, especially during difficult times of the year.

Healing Arts Workshops

Alina’s Light Healing Arts Workshops provide Angel Moms with a nurturing space to process grief and find healing through creative expression.

By engaging in activities like painting, Neurographica, and other art forms, participants explore their emotions, reduce stress, and build connections within a supportive community.

These workshops empower Angel Moms to honor their loved ones while fostering personal growth and emotional resilience.

Lets Support Each Other!

Our children are vibrant, full of energy, and more alive than ever in spirit. They walk beside us, proud of our strength, and delight in seeing us support each other in this community.

We hope you find peace, comfort, and healing here. 💜🦋

“Alina is a bright, compassionate, and loving young woman whose light continues to guide me every day. She brought joy to everyone around her and had a way of making people feel truly seen and loved. Losing her was the most profound heartbreak of my life, but I’ve channeled my grief into honoring her bright life.

I founded the Angel Moms club to create a safe, supportive space for mothers like me who are navigating the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Through shared stories, mutual understanding, and a deep connection, we support one another in finding hope and healing. This group has become a lifeline for me, reminding me that even in grief, we can discover purpose and continue to honor our children’s legacies with love and strength.

As a grief coach, my goal is to help Moms feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward while carrying their child's love in their heart. ”

“Ben is my oldest son. He entered this world full of energy and never really changed. He had an abundant personality. He was generous, appreciative, and supportive. Always looking out for others and giving what he had without a thought. He was creative. My poet. We miss his shenanigans. Life was never dull with Ben around and he always kept us laughing. He was loud and his grin was infectious. He never did anything halfway. It was full throttle or not at all. He loved with his whole heart.

I was introduced to this incredible group by another Angel mom. We met each other at the Highmark Caring Place, and she suggested I join. So thankful for that. These women are incredible. They make life bearable. So grateful to Elly and Alina’s Light for making this possible. ”

“I was so blessed to welcome my first born, my son Anthony, on January 10, 2000. He grew up to be so handsome with the biggest smile and great hair. He was helpful to everyone and never said no. He had a big heart and cared for you no matter who you were. He was funny and always made you laugh. He loved his job as an HVAC technician. On December 23, 2020, our hearts were forever broken when Anthony was called home. We will forever love and miss him.

I didn’t know how to go on. My cousin suggested to reach out to Elly, since she too lost a child. So, I did. I sent her a message and she responded she was thinking of starting a group for moms who lost their children. I am so grateful she did. She has helped me and the other Angel moms connect with people who understand our grief and who help us get through the tough times. Angel moms let us talk about our children and we are not judged. We cry, we laugh, and we honor our children. I will be forever grateful for Elly and all she does and continues to do. ”

“My son, Michael, is the oldest of my 4 kids and my only son. Michael was an employee of Youngstown State University when the pandemic started, which is where we assume he got COVID. Michael tested positive for COVID on 2.12.2021 and passed away from complications of COVID on 2.16.2021. He was a die-hard all things Pittsburgh sports fan and lived his faith daily. He has 3 sisters whom he adored. His sister Tori was a friend of Alina's at Montour.

In 2022, I decided I needed to be a survivor of child loss and after another family vacation without our complete family, I reached out to Elly when I saw her post about the Angel Moms. It was hands down, the BEST decision I have ever made. The love and support we share is incredible and I don't know what I would do without our group! ”

“Evan is an old soul. He was very kind and loving boy, years beyond his age. Evan had a love for history, antiques and animals. He especially loved his cat Kit Kat. Evan was kind to his friends and classmates. He always stood up for others. I am proud and honored to be his mother.

I first met Elly in 2022 through a mutual friend. Shortly after, she started the Angel Mom group. I am so fortunate to be a part of this loving and supportive group. We are all here for one another helping each other on this journey. ”

“Brendan is my second child. Brendan was born on July 12, 2000 at Magee Womens Hospital. From a young age, Brendan brought so much joy to his family and friends. He was an all around sportsman and especially excelled at baseball. He played the sport that he loved at the young age of 4 playing for NCAA, PAL, Canes, various travel teams and finishing his baseball career at Greensburg Central Catholic High School.

Brendan graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic in May of 2019 where he was an honor student. Brendan planned on attending the University of Pittsburgh (main campus). Brendan enjoyed all genres of music, fishing, hunting and snowboarding. Brendan was loved by so many. He had an infectious laugh and a smile that lite up a room. Brendan is missed beyond words by his dad, mom, friends and family especially his big sister Kait. The bond between them was like no other.

A friend of mine suggested that I reach out to Elly. Once I got the courage, I reached out to Elly. I knew in my heart after attending a meeting, this was the answer I was looking for. Elly guided me and continues to guide me through this journey. Lastly, I realize that Brendan’s most meaningful gift to me is resilience to carry on and honor him. ”
