On Saturday, July 27, we gathered for the Alina’s Light Walk & Run for Love 2024, and what a beautiful day it was! The event was a huge success, filled with so much love and support from everyone who attended. Despite a routing miscommunication that added an extra mile to the race and some parking challenges, the atmosphere was electric with love in the air. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused and are grateful for your understanding and enthusiasm.
Over 400 people in attendance and over $23,000 raised towards event costs and to support our important mission. Alina’s Light supporters were smiling and cheering each other on to complete the race. It was fun to see kids playing, riding the train, getting their faces painted, and making friends with the animals.
We have so many we want to thank for making the Alina’s Light Walk & Run for Love 2024 such a memorable and impactful event.
Firstly, a huge thank you to our incredible volunteers. Over 30 amazing individuals gave their time and energy to ensure everything ran smoothly. Your hard work and enthusiasm were the heart of this event, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We also want to express our appreciation to our wonderful sponsors. Your generous support made this event possible and helped us raise crucial funds to continue our mission.
We were so happy and thankful to see such strong, beautiful women like Jen Pardini and Natalie Steigerwald, along with hundreds more in our community who have faced so much trauma due to unhealthy relationships turning violent. Domestic violence in our households is a terrifying and often silent issue, and your presence and courage inspire us all to continue fighting for change.
